Here is an updated selection of beautiful images from the Kate Edmondon Bridal Couture launch evening, in collaboration with Zankyou UK, along with Jo Barnes Vintage, Olivia Soleto Weddings, Jasmine Florist, Rachel Simpson Shoes and House of Fraser Wedding List. We were lucky to meet the Editor of Perfect Weddings Magazine, Helen Webster along with Emily Williams, and Bridal Life Coach Michelle Paradise also attended the evening. Lucky Bride Melissa Smallshaw one a complete wedding package from Olivia Soleto Weddings and Cecilia Hermida also won a vintage tiara by Jo Barnes Vintage.

Launch Evening at Chandos House

On the evening of 2nd September 2010, Kate Edmondson launched her magnificent made-to-measure collection at the beautiful Chandos House in London. In association with Zankyou, the UK Wedding Giftlist, and with displays from Jo Barnes Vintage, Olivia Soleto Weddings, House of Fraser Wedding List and a selection of Rachel Simpson shoes, the ambience of the evening was set with live music from the Harpist Lisa Evans. With models displaying a selection of Kate’s dresses and with press and brides treated to goody bags featuring mineral Make Up from Bellapierre and gorgeous chocolate favours from Green & Blacks online, the evening was a wonderful opportunity to showcase these fantastic bridal talents.

Bridalwear designer Kate Edmondson is now launching her exclusive company Kate Edmondson Bridal Couture. Having created wedding dresses and millinery for private clients for over 10 years as well as being training with BA Hons in Fashion Design, Kate prides her unique aesthetic upon exquisite bridal construction and creating the perfect finish.

Redefining the look of the traditional bride, Kate Edmondson’s sophisticated and elegant approach to bespoke design combines elements of vintage glamour with modern simplicity. With Kate’s highly developed drapery and lightweight, fluid fabrics along with intricate beading and lacework as her signature hallmarks, each dress is skilfully designed to “enhance the bride’s individuality and offer something fresh and different.”

Kate’s bespoke millinery is also specifically designed and hand made on request at her West London studio. Each bridal hat or headpiece is carefully considered to compliment the bridal dress and luxury silk is used to create dramatic shapes or simple flowers and feathers, if a softer silhouette is desired. Her millinery is also available for mother-of-the-bride or bridesmaids and can be extended further to create corsages, hairpieces and accessories.

Kate Edmondson Bridal Couture is a fully bespoke service from the initial design process, to selecting the luxurious fabric and creating the finished bridal gown. All fittings involve a calico or muslin toile and are conducted with the designer herself to achieve the design and cut which is most flattering for the bride. Ensuring precision and fit a second toile is made if required, before Kate incorporates any adjustments into a paper pattern, and the dress is cut, made and finished by hand.
